When a #TrendingTopic Becomes a #TackyTopic

I was appalled when I signed into twitter this afternoon and saw #AbortionClinicPlaylistSongs as a trending topic. I was also appalled at the amount of people who participated in the topic as well as the people who laughed at the topic instead of letting it go away.
Those people are sick and the people who encouraged this kind of entertainment are just as sick for allowing it to continue.
Yes, this is my personal opinion and some people do not find anything wrong with the topic but I look at it like this.
You can say what you want about the people who participate in the abortion process, it is their choice but to make fun of fetuses that did not get to feel the breathe of life is tasteless, tacky and downright disrespectful. Some may say I am looking too deep into the topic and it is only Twitter and I may be generalizing but when people participate in these type of acts, they only add to the problems in this world. Whether the problem is a lack of education, a lack of respect, or outright ignorance.
Now, back to my feelings on the people who participate in the abortions. Who are we to judge a person who has an abortion? You do not know what happened for them to want to consider such a trying and stressful situation. There are all types of situations that could have happened to make a woman consider having an abortion. Certainly because she slept with a guy she did not want to have a baby with is not a suitable excuse because we all know what happens when you have sex especially unprotected. But when a woman is forced out of her will to have sex with a man otherwise known as rape or a man does some shady business like takes the condom off during the act and ejaculates in the woman without her permission would make any woman consider her options.
I am pretty sure that some of us, who were fortunate enough to get past the nine months in our mothers womb could simply ask our parents if having us was an easy decision to make and do not be surprised if your mother responds with "No". Because not all of us were born into this world in a Utopian situation. Some parents were not fit for parenthood but because of their own convictions they went through with the cycle.
I was never one to play the role of a bully or kick someone while they are down. So, why participate in the degradation of a child that never got their chance to potentially be more of an asset to the world than the same people who take part in this trending topic or find humor in it.

Until then, Be Blessed,
